Reworked the blog template due to changes at Blogger. Still some fine tuning but don't worry, be crappy.

Wow. I just watched Smoke Break TV - Episode 3. The funny part was that I did not edit this program and I didn't see it even though I signed for it. Mike did all the editing. What a great job. My wife and I actually laughed quite a bit. Yea. Excellent job Mike!

I heard a rumor that the 3rd episode is ready. I did not edit it. I have not seen it and I won't see it until it is on the air. Should be fun, but I'm nervous. I still have to sign the papers. Trust is a wonderful thing. When you find people you can trust, then you have it made. I have some of those people, but most of the people I know I can not trust at all. Cherish the people you can trust. We'll see how the 3rd episode goes down.

Today I'm at Access Tucson printing the 2nd episode of Smoke Break TV. The second episode is probably less interesting than the first episode, but there are still some good bits. I had to pull together the 2nd episode quickly because we need to submit a new episode every 4 weeks or Access Tucson will cancel our time slot.

Things have been a little more difficult for the Smoke Break crew because there have been some job changes. We don't run into each other as often.

We have some exciting plans for future episodes, so keep watching.

Last night of Field Production class. We have spent 6 nights learning about how to use the field production cameras and editing. The field camera is really nice and takes great video. We also got to shoot some stuff for the class that we will use in the show.

At this point we have 5 promos for the show about ready to go on air. That will probably cause people to start to know that we exist. I have also bought a firewire hard drive and some other equipment so I can edit at home. It's worth it so I can stay at home and not need to drive downtown.

The worst thing about Access Tucson is that all programming is on DVCPro format instead of MiniDV. So I will still need to reserve time downtown to write the masters to DVCPro for submission.

We're still trying to get things together to put together some shows. At this point I think we have the makings of about 3 shows. Talent is sometimes hard to come by because we're all so busy. There was some conversation about Ralph joining the race yesterday that we should have gotten on video. Maybe later. The problem is that the best Smoke Break conversations are on actual breaks --- hard to video tape.
